BJP Youth Wing Leader’s Anti-Black Money Drive, Demonetisation Drive and Fake Currency Notes

Kerala BJP youth wing leader Rakesh Ezhacherry was arrested with 1.37 lakhs of fake currency notes which were produced at his residence. Police kept an eye on his activities after the people in his town raised concern to the policy after watching him becoming rich in no time!

Rakesh Ezhacherry was in front during the demonetisation awareness drive in Kerala as part of the political party BJP’s “pracharana yatra.” He was also acted as one of whistleblowers to the government in the anti-black money drive across the state. Now, on June 22, he has been arrested for mass producing fake Indian currency notes in his residence.

This person was featured in many political posters across Kerala with prominent faces such as Narendra Modi and Amit Shah along with state party president Kummanam Rajashekharan.

India Today reported: According to the Thrissur police, Rakesh and his brother ran a counterfeit currency printing unit and printed several notes of Rs 2000 to Rs 20. Their modus operandi was that they would exchange these notes at petrol pumps and local grocery shops.

Indiatimes reported: Rakesh Ezhacherry was arrested from Kerala’s Thrissur on Thursday with fake notes worth Rs 1.5 lakhs. Machines and ink used to print the counterfeit notes have also been recovered from his home.

According to The News Minute, the news of arrest of the person for the involvement in mass producing fake Indian currency notes has lead the people in social media create and spread many memes trolling the Bharatiya Janata Party in Kerala.
